IBM Connect 2017 is here! Come visit us at booth #828 to meet our team and check out a demo of Vidyo’s integration with the IBM Watson Workspace cognitive collaboration tool.

IBM has also published my recent article about our demo with Watson Workspace and Withings on their Social Business Spotlight blog. When video collaboration meets the Internet of Things, the way we experience healthcare will truly evolve from a “place we go” into a thing we do, embedded neatly into our daily routine.

Thanks to IBM for sharing Vidyo’s excitement for the future of connected care, which is being made possible by the Internet of Things and high-quality video. Read the article here: Vidyo Showcases the Next Wave of Telehealth Using IBM Watson Workspace and Nokia Solutions

Withings’ IoT blood pressure reader connects with IBM Watson Workspace and Vidyo.

Using smart, connected heart monitors, blood pressure readers and scales, people can now use the IoT and Vidyo to remotely visit their doctor with a new level of action. While speaking face-to-face, doctors and patients can go over the vital data presented by the hardware as it comes through in real time into the IBM Watson Workspace. Because our developer-friendly APIs and software development kit (SDK) make it quick and painless to embed Vidyo into virtually any workflow, clinicians can talk to patients from within Watson, without disruption.

Rishi Vaish, VP IBM Watson Workspace, mentions Vidyo in his keynote at IBM Connect.

Most importantly, they can take action based on the data that the smart devices provide.

When we think of telehealth, we still typically imagine conferencing via video with our family physician from the comfort of our home or office. Yet, since Vidyo is designed for reliable high performance over mobile devices and the public Internet, the truth is that mobile video and the medical Internet of Things can now recreate the in-person care experience from anywhere – whether you are stuck at the airport, on your way to a football game or standing on the beach.

IBM cognitive workflow expert Inhi Cho Suh stops by the Vidyo booth at IBM Connect.

Cloud-based video collaboration is helping to create the connected care system of tomorrow that is intelligent, proactive and poised to offer a higher degree of transparency for medical professionals and inclusion for patients and their care teams.
