Enterprise Connect Party: Gators, Stilts, Artists and… Personal Telepresence!

What a night!

Vidyo was the host of the 2011 Enterprise Connect party in Orlando Florida and we all had a wonderful time. This was a great way for us to announce our new VidyoRouter Cloud Edition and to answer questions about how its architecture will change the video conferencing industry.

As promised, here are some cool pictures from the evening:

We thank everyone who joined in on the fun and hope that they all enjoyed it as much as we did!

You can still come have a chat with us today and tomorrow at Enterprise Connect, booth #1209: Don’t hesitate to stop by!

VidyoReplay Enables Users to Record and Webcast from Vidyo Endpoints

Enterprise Connect is buzzing with new and exciting technologies, and among other noteworthy demonstrations, Vidyo is showcasing its just-announced  VidyoReplay solution, at Booth #1209.

VidyoReplay allows users to easily webcast and record their Vidyo conferences via their web browser and to watch them either in real time, or at any time after the conference. Users can also record and webcast from Vidyo endpoints, including hand held devices, laptops, desktops and VidyoRoom systems.  With VidyoReplay, conferences can be recorded in standard web video file (FLV) format with no proprietary player required to view the recorded content.

Here is a clip recorded over VidyoReplay, of Vidyo’s Director of Product Marketing, Mark Noble, giving a quick overview and demonstration of VidyoReplay’s capabilities:

VidyoReplay has been used in a wide variety of environments ranging from legal firms, healthcare, governmental uses, to applications for K-12 and higher education. Charles Kazilek, Director of Technology Integration and Outreach of Arizona State University’s School of Life Sciences, uses Vidyo in an ASU classroom setting for high-quality Vidyo exchanges with Smithsonian Institution scientists and researchers located in the jungles of Panama.

“With VidyoReplay we can now capture these valuable interactions to use as an educational resource for larger groups of students to view and learn from; it enhances the learning experience for our faculty and students alike,” he says. “The Vidyo system transforms typical mediated classrooms on campus into real time, research and learning environments. No other video communications solution offers the kind of access, ease-of-use and quality that we’re getting from Vidyo and now, with VidyoReplay, ability to record and broadcast the content of this video collaboration. Vidyo has opened a range of education and research opportunities that we never thought would be possible.”

Vidyo at Enterprise Connect 2011: Here, There and Everywhere

Enterprise Connect 2011 is just around the corner! The show will take place in Orlando, Florida from February 28 to March 3 and will be all about communication technologies that are transforming today’s business world. Needless to say, Vidyo is excited to be part of the discussion and to join in on the fun!

For those not yet familiar with the name “Enterprise Connect”, it’s probably because it has been known for a decade as “VoiceCon”. The folks at VoiceCon realized that we truly are in a fast moving world and communications evolved immensely in the past ten years and they wanted the name of the event to reflect this change. As they explained it themselves, enterprise communications now include voice, video and data media. “VoiceCon” thus became “Enterprise Connect”. With the evolution of bandwidth capacities, of chipsets and with the explosion of the mobile device market, more and more people are now ready to take the next step towards natural, effortless communications… and that is something that we are extremely excited about, here at Vidyo. At this year’s Enterprise Connect, Vidyo will be featured at several sites and events:

- We will be on the Exhibit Floor, at booth #1209, where we will be featuring the recently announced VidyoRouter™ Cloud Edition, the next stage in the VidyoConferencing™ architecture.

- Vidyo has also been honored by industry luminaries and selected from the most progressive enterprise communications companies out as a finalist for the “Best of Enterprise Connect Award”.

- The official Enterprise Connect party will be sponsored by Vidyo this year: over 900 people will be joining us on Monday, March 1 from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm at the Emerald Bay Plaza in the Gaylord Hotel. – Vidyo will also be holding a press conference on Tuesday March 1, from 12 pm to 1.30 pm at the Gaylord Hotel’s Tallahassee 2 Conference Room with Ofer Shapiro, Vidyo’s co-founder and CEO and Ashish Gupta, Vidyo’s Chief Marketing Officer and SVP Corporate Development. (RSVP required to anais@vidyo.com.)

If you’re planning on attending Enterprise Connect 2011, don’t be a stranger! Come by the booth, say hello, and see an amazing demo!
