Telepresence: Coming soon to a Galaxy Near You

After demonstrating video conferencing on an iPad earlier this Fall, Vidyo continues to add more fuel to the heated debate about video conferencing on mobile devices. We received many questions on Twitter and Facebook about other devices where you’d soon see VidyoMobile so here’s an update:

Vidyo’s unique, patented architecture is the most scalable telepresence solution on the market today. And because we’re software-based, Vidyo doesn’t have the same limitations as hardware-based products and our vision has always been to let folks use their platform of choice. You make an important decision in selecting your video conferencing solution and we don’t lock you into specific hardware. We love  to demonstrate our multipoint personal telepresence on the coolest platforms like the Android smartphones (did you see the new quarterly numbers?), iPad, and iPhone 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab

Case in point: Samsung’s  Galaxy Tab. According to Computerworld’s Matt Hambien, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has already passed the 1 million mark in sales, just two months after launching it in the U.S.! Here’s a demonstration of VidyoMobile on a Samsung Galaxy Tab:

This is yet another technology demonstration of how Vidyo can be accessed on a variety of PC and Mac desktops, laptops, room systems, and soon smartphones and tablets on any type of network — the Internet, 3G, 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, etc. — for a fraction of the usual cost of telepresence solutions and services.

Keep tuning in to the Vidyo blog for other VidyoMobile news… and please share your opinions and comments about mobile video conferencing!
