AFA Soars with Vidyo

The future of work is here, and the next generation is redefining the modern workplace. Gone are the days when every employee had a stationary desk in an office building for their 9-to-5 job. Organizations are now looking for ways to enable remote employees to seamlessly collaborate and stay connected on the go without the hefty price tag.

It’s no secret that cloud-based video collaboration solutions have drastically enhanced the employee experience and enabled enterprise organizations across the globe to grow. From massive cost savings to workforce productivity, implementing a video solution is a no-brainer.

The Air Force Association (AFA) is one of the many organizations that has reaped the benefits of Vidyo’s collaboration solutions. The AFA is a volunteer-led organization with nearly 100,000 members. It plays a critical role in the lives of thousands of Air Force veterans and their families, offering advocacy, support, and education through the organization’s more than 200 chapters.

With its globally distributed leadership team, the AFA faced serious financial trouble due to travel expenses incurred when hosting board, council, and committee meetings that required the presence of the entire team. The organization needed to find a high-quality, easy-to-use solution that would allow it to greatly reduce its travel budget.

After researching various solutions, the AFA realized that Vidyo had exactly what it was looking for: an enterprise-grade solution that allows the AFA to easily conduct remote meetings that are just as effective as in-person meetings. As a result of implementing Vidyo’s cloud solution, the AFA has saved between $50,000 and $70,000 per meeting.

Ted Yorkshire, AFA’s Manager of Multimedia, continues to be impressed with the way the organization has transformed since integrating Vidyo’s solution: “We chose Vidyo because the technology is designed for reliable and consistent performance over mobile,” said Yorkshire. “As a nonprofit with limited resources, we needed the simplicity and affordability of a cloud-based solution that could reliably connect us visually, regardless of how our employees and volunteers are calling in and from where.”
